The Parimatch Foundation has opened football and basketball sections at Orphanage # 4 in Shymkent, Kazakhstan.
The opening took place on November 26 as part of the “Sports Mentor” program.
For the implementation of this project, the foundation allocated 3 million tenges: this includes both payment for the work of qualified trainers and sports equipment, as well as everything necessary for regular training.
Students of the orphanage will be able to attend football and basketball training sessions three times a week throughout the year.
“We have a dream that every child has the opportunity to play sports. And the Parimatch Foundation works hard to implement it. We are happy to see how children meet the news about the opening of the section, and with what enthusiasm they go to trainings. We have no doubt that among them there are future champions and mentors for the next generations.” said Victoria Andreeva, representative of the Parimatch Foundation in Kazakhstan.
Professional coaches with impressive experience were involved in the training of young athletes. The football section will be headed by Marat Turliev, CCM in football and champion of Kazakhstan in football, player of Shymkent Zhiger and Almaty Kairat. Three of his students are part of the Ontustik Academy team in the first league.
Danil Seredinsky, master of sports, judge of the national category of the Republic of Kazakhstan, winner of numerous championships and tournaments, became the head coach of the basketball section.
“It is very important to encourage the young generation to enjoy sports and the desire to develop it in their homeland. We have many untapped talents who lack the resources and experienced mentors to prove themselves to the fullest” he commented. “I immediately agreed to participate in the Sports Mentor program, because every child deserves to live a happy and healthy life, a chance to become a champion. In return, I will do my best to make them succeed and truly fall in love with the sport. ”
Orphanage #4 is one of the largest institutions in Shymkent for orphans and children left without parental care. Today there are 77 pupils in it, 60 of them have already expressed their desire to sign up for sports sections.
“Sport plays an essential foundation for the future well-being of children. This is not just strengthening of health and immunity, it is socialization, a beneficial effect on the child’s psyche and even the opportunity to realize oneself in life,” shared Nursaule Tastybaeva, director of the orphanage,“ Therefore, we are very grateful that the Parimatch Foundation helped us open new circles. Accessible sports clubs for children today – healthy, happy and successful generation of adults tomorrow. ”
